Trent University Client Reviews

 FAQs

I highly recommend taking a look at these prior to booking your session.

  • My favourite time to take grad photos at Trent is from the end of May through to the end of October due to the colour of the trees/campus during that time. If I had to pick an ideal time it would be the middle of October (that’s when the fall colours are in full force) or any time during the summer (when colours of the trees and plant life are super green).

I try to stay away from the winter and spring as the conditions at Trent can be very grey and wet, not ideal for capturing the beauty of the campus in my opinion.

I’d also suggest morning shoots as there is less foot traffic across the campus and the morning lighting is great for photos.

  • The base rate (for both solo and group sessions) include six photos that are post processed to your liking. I take lots of photos, both individual and group at multiple locations across the Trent campus, so you will have lots to choose from. If you would like more than six photos, you have the option to purchase additional photos for $5 per photo. You can get as many photos as you wish. All of the photos that you purchase will be digital copies that you can use to make prints or to share on social media.

  • Yes you can! If your friend or family member is not graduating they are welcome to be in your photos at no additional cost. I know that your graduation from Trent is super important and I'd love to have your friends and family come along for the ride.

If your friend and/or family member is also graduating and will be wearing a graduation gown or are taking these photos with the intention of them being their graduation photos they must pay the session fee as well.

I am totally okay with including pets in your photos, just give me a heads up before hand so we can plan some shots to incorporate them!

  • Contact me with a day that you (and your group) are looking to have your session on and secure your gowns early. I suggest booking your gowns at least three weeks in advance. You can book your gown rentals through the Trent website by clicking here.

Take a look at the photos above and see if you like any locations/poses. Bring these examples to the shoot and show me what you are looking for. This will help with the flow of the session and ensures you get all the shots you want. I am also super open to new ideas so don’t be afraid to suggest something!

Show up a few minutes early. This ensures you will get a parking spot and can get dressed in your gowns prior to the official start of the shoot. With groups, putting on gowns an take up to 15 minutes, which is considerable if you have a big group and we only have two hours.

Dress appropriately for the weather and walking. If it has the slightest chance of rain, bring a jacket and an umbrella. If you have your session in the late fall or winter months, bring a jacket or blanket to go over your gown. I strongly suggest bringing a second pair of comfortable shoes, especially if you are wearing high heels or traditionally uncomfortable footwear, as there is a fair bit of walking.

Ask questions. I am more than happy to answer any questions you have about all aspects of the session. You can reach me through the contact form, an ongoing email thread we have with each other or on one of my social media accounts.
